Terms of Use
1. Acceptance
By using Decided you agree to these terms. If you are using Decided on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation.
2. The service
Decided is an application developed by Northcairn Ltd. The Taster is free, anonymous, and does not require sign-in. Decided Pro requires Microsoft Teams sign-in and gives an organisation a shared decision log.
3. Decided Pro subscriptions and billing
Decided Pro is a paid subscription sold through Microsoft Marketplace. One subscription covers one Microsoft Entra organisation. It is not licensed per user.
Microsoft handles the transaction and bills the subscription through the billing account used for the purchase. The price, billing terms, and renewal details are shown in the Marketplace listing and at checkout.
4. Free trial
Eligible new Decided Pro subscriptions include a 30-day free trial. The subscription converts to a paid subscription when the trial ends unless it is cancelled or recurring billing is turned off before then. A cancelled trial cannot be restarted.
5. Cancellation
You can manage or cancel a Decided Pro subscription through the Microsoft 365 admin centre. Cancellation removes access when Microsoft processes it. To keep access until the current term ends, turn off recurring billing instead.
Microsoft's Marketplace refund policy applies. A Decided Pro subscription cancelled within 72 hours of purchase is eligible for a full refund. After that period, cancellation does not automatically refund the unused part of a paid term. A later refund requires Northcairn Ltd's approval and is processed through Microsoft.
6. Data after cancellation
If a Decided Pro subscription ends, your organisation's decision records will be kept for 12 months. Resubscribe to restore access to them. Export is not available while the subscription is ended.
The records are due to be deleted after that 12-month period. Decided records the deletion deadline, but the process that deletes records when the deadline passes is not yet implemented.
7. AI-generated content
Decided uses AI to draft parts of decision records and to make suggestions during a session. AI-generated content may be incomplete or inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing a decision record before sharing it or relying on it.
8. Acceptable use
You may not use Decided to store unlawful content or to attempt to circumvent security controls.
9. Data
Your use of Decided is subject to our Privacy Policy at decisionrecords.app/privacy.
10. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update the service and its features. We may update or discontinue Taster features with reasonable notice. For Decided Pro, we will not materially reduce the core paid service during an active paid term without reasonable notice.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Northcairn Ltd's liability is limited to the amount paid (if any) for the service in the 12 months prior to any claim.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
